Page 1 of 7 To say that information visualization is still a young and evolving fi eld is a considerable understatement. We are still only scratching the surface of its potential. As the science on which it is built continues to yield new insights and an increasing number of talented and innovative people apply these insights in search of new solutions, we can expect eye-opening progress in the next few years. In this article, I want to describe an example of how this process works. To do so, I’m turning to the work of a relatively small but gifted business intelligence software vendor named Panopticon.
